Introduction

I launched my design practice in 2004 following a successful career working with distinguished specialists in the design world, including Nina Campbell, for whom I worked for eight years as a senior decorator, where I took on projects in New York and Tel Aviv.

Over time, I have established a wealth of reliable contacts with craftspeople and tradesmen, both in London and the country, with whom I can collaborate to create definitive bespoke pieces. In fact those wonderful ebony doors that open onto the website were created by decorative paint artist Hughie Turner. I also enjoy working with local craftspeople where possible and draw upon a workforce from my native Suffolk where I have fulfilled many commissions.

I enjoy client relationships of some longevity in assisting with cyclical re-design and re-decoration and also enjoy taking on projects of any size; be it one room, a whole house, or acting as a design consultant. Further afield, I have completed the refurbishment of a historic ‘Great’ house in Barbados and decorating advice has also been given on apartments in Melbourne, Paris and a country estate in Ireland.

My current portfolio ranges from rural retreats and country homes to Central London houses and flats. Commercial work is also occasionally undertaken both traditional and contemporary, as well as work for clients with property portfolios.

I have a down-to-earth, flexible approach to decorating and am as happy to re-use and re-arrange favourite furnishings as to completely re-fit a property from soft furnishings to tea spoons; helping busy people see the transformation of an area into an elegant and comfortable space.

My personal style could be described as traditional with a contemporary twist but my clients’ own wishes and priorities are always uppermost.
